I just got back from my trip to The Falls Festival in Lorne, VIC. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life (excluding trips overseas). Grouplove were fucking incredible. Also, I still cant quite believe how much arctic monkeys have improved live. They’ve always sounded really good whenever i’ve seen them but this time they were so beastly. Nope, still cant believe how good they were. Other favourites were Miles Kane (who suprosed me as well, especially because he had a croud of about 100), fleet foxes, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, DJ Yoda was cool (I was drunk) and the grates and papa vs pretty. I was really upset after Beirut because of the fucking groud. We were surounded by incredibly drunk dicks who constanty reminded everyone ‘Idonevenknowthishhhband-ay’ and then proceed to make groaning noises instead of shutting up so we could soak in Zachs voice. I think that instead of checking our car for smuggled alcohol upon enetering the festival site, cars should be checked for flouro coloured clothing & those ugly fucking caps with the stickers on them.
